How we research
We base estate and region information on the estates’ own websites, the official wine route organisations (such as the Stellenbosch, Franschhoek, Constantia, Paarl and Durbanville wine routes) and other reputable sources. Where we quote a price or opening time, we say when we checked it. Hours and prices change, so always confirm with the estate or tour operator before you go.
We don’t publish made-up reviews or star ratings. Where a tour shows a rating, it comes from our booking partner and is labelled as such.
How booking works
We don’t run tours ourselves. Tours on this site are operated by local tour companies and booked through our partner Viator (a Tripadvisor company). When you book through a link on our site, we may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you. That helps us keep the guide free and up to date. Prices, availability and cancellation terms are set by the operator and shown on Viator at the time of booking.
